Instruction of VSS Windows version

The VSS Program is developed for the VOIP traffic routing of small office both outside and between devices inside of office.

The General Networks Company proposes three SoftSwitch versions.

1)      Softswitch is for using General Networks company services (free version)

2)      Softswitch is without elements of traffic account (light version).

3)      Softswicth has the base elements of traffic account (professional version).

For the convenience our company gives the program of monitoring to the 1th and 3th versions, for remote traffic monitoring.

The installation packet is formed by two programs:

• it is the installation program of server "VSS Server.exe"

• it is the configuring program of server "VSS Manager.exe".

At first you should install a server and then you install configuring program. The server must be automatically started. You start the VSS Manager program and select the option – «Connect» (without entering a password).

In «General» option you can set, which IP address program will listen and from which IP address a call will be initiated. By default the program listens to all addresses and initiates a call according to the list of routes.

It is a possibility to change timeouts (through a sign of fraction ( / )): 1- sending of «setup» after port opening of incoming connection; 2- time for port opening of outgoing connection; 3- receiving of alerts; 4 – receiving of connection.

In «Aliases» options you can connect some names with server IP addresses and from which IP’s connection will be with this server.

In the «Sources» option it is an opportunity to define how numbers A and B will be transformed and from which IP addresses it is permitted to connect with VSS.

Here through a sign of fraction ( / )   two operations are determined: delete and addition of prefix for a concrete mask. If the mask has suited, next masks are not checked.

An outgoing traffic has set on the General Networks Company servers and they are not required in additional settings.

For the convenience it is offered the program «Monitor» which can be used for computer where VSS is set in case of free version.

The program permits to monitor a great number of subscribers on their numbers A, to count the cost of talks according to the tariffs which is set in the file prices.txt in «csv» format. Also this program permits to limit duration of talks according to deposit money on a number A, to keep history of calls.

Additional option of traffic routing is entered in the second version.

In a mask it is possible to add the mask of number A, for example +@28 and a route will be selected only for numbers A, beginning with 28.

For working this version, it is necessary to get the key. For what, it needs to make a registration according to four steps in the Registration Menu.

In third program version the possibilities of accounting are added through DSN.

In a similar way the program requires registration.
